We created the Allegro wine
bar for several reasons. First, we wanted to create a place that showcased the
best our region has to offer. Every winery out there has that one wine in their
tasting room that shines, that single wine that really stands out amongst the
rest. What we wanted to do was bring all those exceptional wines from the
Carmel Valley and Monterey County wineries and vineyards to one place, and
create a kind of “Best Of” tasting. The Allegro Wine Bar is one of the only places in Monterey county where you can taste a flight of extraordinary wines from
all over our region in one single location.
In addition to our wine bar, we offer wine tasting at the table. This means you can enjoy your wine tasting from the comfort of your table and also experiment with some food & wine pairings. All of our local wines are offered at RETAIL PRICE, which means you pay the same price you would at the winery or your local super market. At Allegro, we want people to be able to come in and have an affordable
meal AND most importantly, enjoy that meal with a reasonable priced bottle of
wine. We
are currently running six wines, three reds and three whites. As our region is so large with so many exceptional wines the list changes often and we offer an
assortment of varietals including Pinot Grigio, Riesling, Muscato, Sauvignon Blanc,
Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Merlot, & Cabernet Sauvignon as well as local
blends. All of "Featured Monterey County Wines" are offered for tasting, by the glass, and by the
bottle. Any of these wines can be enjoyed at our wine bar or in the restaurant.
